That is horrible when that, one of mine did that but it was already an adult & hadn't be held.
I held her for 5 mins each day & increased slowly, she still can be jumpy if you move but she is a lot better then she was!

It was really sad Sad I could see him panicing and breathing really fast.

They are OK with me doing bits, changing food water in the viv etc, just take time I guess, I love them if I can handle them or not anyways Wink

There's your problem, they can sense his fear and so they become scared and flighty. He needs to get himself in a confident frame of mind and just handle them confidently, also try handling in the morning or in the day (or even with the light on) as they seem to be a little less flighty.

I have had this before, its also worth taking them out quickly and confidently, the longer you spend chasing them round the viv the more stressed they become.

Hope this helps

Chris

I must sound mean then cause apart from letting them settle into their new home for 48 hours i started handeling mine on a regular daily basis on purpous.so they get used to my scent and being handled at a young age. for me it seams to be working they dont always seem fussed unless its near shedding time or they in a funny. lol know when they on a funny they walk backwards hahah funny things.
i wont show fear or give in with this as i want them tame.
Its funny tho we each chose which gekco we wanted by the markings one being dalmation my partners and mine being harliquin pin stripe. and they each seem to favor the correct owner lol if i hold my partners it will try get to him and vise versa.
