HELPP ME PLZZZ

i went to pick up a stick in my baby geckos cage, his tale was on the stick and i ended up grabing his tail unknowingly and i squished it against the sticks, he is now super scared of me. im not sure wat to do. any ideas?

Leave it be for a while so it can de-stress, then next time you go to pick it up go a little slower than normal and catch it with your hands cupped together loosely move your hands up slowly then slowly open them and let it climb around you a bit so it sees you as less of a threat. Then just be normal with it. That would be my advice - and I've handled a decent number of herps, but no expert. Don't stress about it - just try to be a bit more careful with 'em.
