grrrrrrrrrr stupid chameleon!!!

-well seeing as its been really hot and sunny i thought i'd put on his 6ft yukka tree in on the patio, after fighting with him to get him out of his viv and struggling to put the tree outside, he was finally basking and getting some natural UV......

that was until about half an hour when i check on him, i was sunbathin and reading, 10minutes after my mum had checked on him i went to see how he was doing....to find he wasn't there!

the pot was a foot clear everything else around him and is and 1.5ft deep so a long way down for a 12month old cham who still has lots of growing to do!

i bellowed mum and shouted darwin's gone, she came running out followed by my grandparents and i burst into tears! our garden is heavily planted and theres loads of thick ivy and bush in the area darwin was near.

the hunt began and we were all looking around frantically, me rather upset for not watching him and thinking he would be ok on the yukka, and knowing he wouldn't last outside for very long even though its gettin warm.

i looked to the highest point, the neighbours tree and spotted him moving from one branch to another! (about 5minutes after the hunt began) and shouted my dad to get a ladder, mum went round the neighbours but they were out, dad put the ladders up against the fence and was leaning right into the neighbours tree, darwin was gettin further away i was gettin more stressed, even though we had found him it was now getting to him that was the problem!

eventually dad got him onto the end of a small branch, i pulled the rest of the branches out of the way and my grandadbroke the branch darwin was on and passed him to me....... i told him off and put him straight back into his viv!! thats the last time he's goin outside for a while!!
