Yay searching for a new car

Yay!! I love looking for cars...I learned a valuable lesson recently though: never ever let a man have full control over viewing and buying a car. Me, the OH and his best friend decided to buy a car together to make it cheaper, said friend was given the job of going and looking at and test driving cars as we were both busy with uni. He managed to completely ignore the fact I had to also drive the car, bought a car that was perfect for him to drive, but one that I can't actually drive. Next time, I'm test driving the thing myself lol.

YAY, I brought an 02 reg Fiat Punto yesterday

It's got a couple of dents, but hey! getting 12 months MOT aswell score!!!

OH NO!!!, i was just about to post what not to buy (i'm a mechanic so know what is and isn't reliable).
i really don't mean to spoil new car day for you but most fiats, including puntos are very unreliable and breakdown quite often, sorry hun.

i would have suggested the following as decent small cars for build quality and reliability,
suzuki swift
suzuki alto
mitsubishi colt
toyota starlet
nissan micra
older ford KA's
volkswagon polo
honda jazz
honda civic (although they do tend to have a recuring problem in some newer models with gearbox bearings)
seat arousa
seat ibiza

these are some good ones but there are a few more but these are the most poular and readily available ones, and supprisingly still quite cheap.
