Need help with temp
Hi, I just got my first crested gecko and I got the stuff the petco guy said I needed. I am having trouble getting the temp right. I have a heating pad under the tank and a day bulb. I just got a zilla 75w black light also. The temp in the tank won't go above 63F. It has to be around 70F right?
What should I do to get the temp up?
Thanks

Re: Need help with temp
Hi,
how big is your cage? I am surprised that you will not get the temp above 70F with a 75W light and a pad. The temperatures should be in a range of 68-86 Fahrenheit.
You may have to go for a stronger (or second) heating pad or a ceramic heater (I prefer the pads as the geckos cannot burn themselves).
Good luck
