This compact 3x zoom covers a whole range of popular focal lengths, from favoured 28mm wide angle, through standard 50mm to portrait favoured 80mm - a real do-it-all lens.
Fitted with a metal lens mount (no cheapo plastic here), this lens offers an aperture range of f3.5/5.6 - 22.

Minimum focusing distance is 45cm, however slide over the Macro switch associated with the 80mm focal length and minimum focus reduces to an incredible 25cm - ACHIEVING 1:2 MACRO SHOTS - INCREDIBLE.

It features Sigma's highly thought-of Aspherical Lens coating to help reduce colour aberrations and thereby achieve superb sharpness - this is a very highly regarded lens in the independent field.

It will function on all Minolta and Sony film and digital SLR's.
