new project :)
well whist darwin was making his bid for freedom earlier i was starting to plan more alterations for his viv!
i've got him in a vivexotic ax36 which has extra vents. but i'm thinking of creating a fake rock background for the back and sides, with ledges and dips and stuff, possibly some plant pots in to so i can plant folliage higher up than currently. but also i want to make a water fall which will be more built up than the rest and flow gently over plants with fake rocks around the edge so if he was to fall in he can get out easily.
to do this i was thinking of creating either a fake bottom using plastic sheeting and sealant or pond liner, building it up from fairly deep one end, as a pool, getting shallower and planted up properly the other end, not in the litter tray and pots i'm using at the minute.
another idea i've had is to build it up in one corner to plant the fig slightly higher than the other plants, giving some more height.
i plan on using polystyrene to make the initial background and covering in sealant. then either eco earth or spray paint the background, not sure which would be better and look most natural for a chameleon.
any tips and advice will be greatly received and appreciated
won't be starting this for a few weeks yet, need tog et all the materials together and money saved first if i can wait that is!
thanks in advance
